
JCI Philippine-New York continues founders’ legacy of empowering the youth to create positive change





2023 set of officers, Board of Directors inducted
JUNIOR Chamber International (JCI) Philippine-New York continued the legacy of its founders of empowering the youth to create positive change by electing its new set of officers and Board of Directors last Feb. 25, 2023 at Da Mikele Palazzo located on 69-02 Garfield Avenue in Queens, New York.
The milestone kicked off JCI Philippine-New York’s celebration of the 60th anniversary of its foundation. Sixty years after it was born, the group remains relentless in immortalizing its noble mission and vision of changing society and the world for the better, if not for the best.
“Junior Chamber International (JCI) Philippine-New York is a group of young people whose mission is to provide leadership development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change. Our vision is to be the foremost global network of young leaders,” said 60th President of JCI Philippine-New York, Diamond President, Jubert Paul Ong.
Ong added that “ever since then, their ethnicity has not limited the diversity in their membership and has continued their mission to provide leadership opportunities that empower young people to create positive change.”
“JCI Philippine-New York is committed to continue a strong tradition of leadership, develop individuals to succeed and provide developmental opportunities that are diverse, equitable and inclusive, thus our theme for this year, Diversity in Leadership,“ Ong shared.
Aside from Ong, inducted as officers and Board of Directors of JCI Philippine -New York were Treasurer – Aprille Piamonte-Aquino; Auditor – Marjerie Rosales; International Affairs Vice President – Christian Besas; Community Development Vice President – Rey Manuel; Individual Development Vice President – Rheanne Lagman; Membership Vice President – Jesse Rivera; Executive Vice President – Chuck Mayan-gao and Chairman of the Board – Mary Reggie Torrejon.
Presidential Advisers are JCI Senator Jocelyn Bernal; JCI Senator Cristina Ramos; JCI Senator Gary Abasolo – Legal Adviser and JCI NYS Governor Margaret Quimosing.
The Board Advisers are JCI Senator Stevenson Van Derodar, JCI Senator Vivian Velasco and JCI Senator Alex Dobo. The past president is Andrew Luis.
Among the highlights of the event were the welcome address and acknowledgement of guests by JCI Philippine-New York Executive Vice President Chuck Mayan-gao and JCI Phiippine-New York Treasurer Aprille Piamonte
Guest speaker Deputy Consul General Adrian Cruz gave a heartwarming introduction followed by an inspirational speech by 60th President of JCI Philippine-New York, Diamond President, Jubert Paul Ong.
The induction ceremony included the installation of the president and candle ceremony, presidents of All JCJ chapters, entrance of JCI Philippine-New York past presidents, turnover of the gavel, turnover of chain of office, Oath ceremony and acceptance speech by Pres. JP.
The night was capped with the taking of class pictures of the 2023 Board of Directors and Officers, 2023 Board of Directors and Officers with Advisers, President JP with State President Vreeshini, Senate President Krizteen and Governor, General Christina Corcuera, President JP and senators, ambassadors, governors, President JP with Past President of JCI Philippine-New York, 2023 Board of Directors and officers with advisers and members, President JP with major sponsors, President JP with family and everybody.
All night dancing made the event truly unforgettable and spectacular.
