5 druggies nabbed in 2 QC stings

Operatives of Project 6 Police Station (PS 15) and Holy Spirit Police Station (PS 14) arrested five drug suspects including the leader of the Martinez Drug Group in two separate buy-bust operations on Thursday in Quezon City.

PLTCOL Hendrix Mangaldan, station commander of PS 15, identified the suspects as Juancho Martinez, 41, listed as leader of Martinez Drug Group, No. 1 station level drug priority target, and resident of No. 82, Ilocos Sur St., Bgy. Ramon Magsaysay, Quezon City; and Norman John Martinez, 40, resident of No. 52, Bukidnon St., Bgy. Ramon Magsaysay.

They were arrested at about 4:50 p.m. of July 6 in front of No. 70, Antique St., Bgy. Ramon Magsaysay. Confiscated were three grams of shabu valued at P20,400 and the buy-bust money.

In another operation, PLTCOL Jeffrey Bilaro, station commander of PS 14, identified the suspects as Jethro Villarico; Robert Ortega Jr., 28; Jovy Villarico, 29; and Joriel Elloran, 25, all residents of No. 386, Guerilla St., Bgy. Holy Spirit, Quezon City. All were listed on Bgy. Holy Spirit’s drug data base.

They were arrested at about 6:30 p.m. of July 6 at No. 386, Guerilla St., Bgy. Holy Spirit. Confiscated were 13 grams of shabu valued at P88,400, 5 grams of marijuana valued at P600 and the buy-bust money.

The suspects will be charged for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, while the confiscated evidence will be submitted to Quezon City Police District Crime Laboratory Office for proper examination and documentation.
