JOINT operatives from the PNP- Manila CIDG and the Manila Police District (MPD) arrested four persons said to be selling fake RT-PCR or swab test results during an entrapment operation on Lerma Street in Sampaloc, Manila.

The suspects were identified as Ronilo Ronato, Alison Enrico, Rostica Navarro and Ronaldo Benitez, alias “Roper.”

MPD chief Gen. Leo Francisco said that based on the investigation, the fake swab test results were being sold for anywhere between P3,000 and P3,500 each to be used as travel pass in going to the provinces.

Francisco said the operation was based on tipped information and that a policeman posed as a buyer.

When the arrest was about to be made after money changed hands, Benitez rushed into his home where police found the CPU and printer being used for producing the fake RT-PCR results using the logo of the Manila Doctors Hospital.

An investigation is underway to determine the extent of operations of the arrested suspects.
