3K COVID violators nabbed in C. Luzon

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — Nearly 3,000 individuals in Region 3 were apprehended over the weekend for violating health and safety protocols against COVID-19 set by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID).

At least 2,690 violators were recorded regionwide from September 25 to 26.

Some 1,897 were caught for improper wearing of or not wearing face masks, 507 for not wearing face shields, while 259 were warned for not observing safe physical distancing and 27 were apprehended for prohibition on mass gathering.

The Police Region Office 3 urged the public to always observe the minimum health standards to prevent the spread of Covid-19 as the epidemic risk in Central Luzon is still categorized as moderate and the number of cases continue to rise.
