TWENTY-FIVE lawbreakers on Wednesday were hauled to jail in separate anti-criminality operations conducted by the Bulacan Police Provincial Office.

According to Bulacan police director Col. Lawrence Cajipe, six of the suspects were involved in illegal drug trafficking while the rest were accused of involvement in various felonies.

One of the suspects, Allan Cruz, a resident of Bgy. Panasahan in Malolos City, yielded 11 heat-sealed plastic sachets containing five grams of shabu worth P34,000 during a buy-bust operation in his neighborhood.

The second suspect, Cesar Padilla of Bgy. Inaon in Pulilan municipality, was found in possession of an estimated P12,000 worth of the “poor man’s cocaine.”

The four other drug suspects were identified as Marites del Castillo of Bgy. Caingin in Bocaue; Ronald Maghanoy of Bgy. Camalig, Meycauayan City; Ronald Joseph Garay of North Fairview, Quezon City; and Alphy Manulat, a resident of Pamplona Uno in Las Piñas City.

Cajipe said that 14 plastic sachets containing shabu and marked money were confiscated from the possession of the four.

All six suspects are facing non-bailable charges for sale and possession of prohibited drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The other suspects were arrested for various offenses, including attempted homicide, robbery with violence against or intimidation of persons, serious physical injuries, illegal logging, women and child abuse and online fraud, said the official in a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Valeriano de Leon.

Cajipe said that the suspects were arrested in separate manhunt operations in Baliwag, Pandi, Pulilan, Marilao, Sta. Maria and Guiguinto municipalities and in San Jose del Monte City.
