THREE most wanted men in Western Visayas, one of them a New People’s Army member facing a non-bailable murder case, were hauled to jail by the local police this week, Police Regional Office 13 director Brig. Gen. Sydney N. Villaflor reported yesterday.

The official said that one alias “Jomar,” a 47-year-old resident of Purok 11, Bgy. Asia in Hinobaan, Negros Occidental, is included in the PNP-AFP list of wanted NPA members and tagged as belonging to the CPP-NPA Komiteng Rehiyon Negros/Cebu/Bohol/Siquijor.

The suspect was arrested in his residence by members of the Negros Occidental Provincial Mobile Force Company led by Lt. Col. Alvimar Flores last Wednesday afternoon on the strength of a warrant of arrest for murder issued by Judge Rodney Magbanua of the Kabankalan City Regional Trial Court Branch 61.

The accused is now being held at the Candoni Municipal Police Station lock-up facility.

A second suspect identified as alias “Joseph,” a man wanted for car theft and tagged as the 7th most wanted in Capiz province, was arrested in his hiding place in Pueblo de Panay in Bgy. Lawaan, Roxas City last Tuesday.

Judge Lorencito Diaz of the Roxas City RTC Branch 17 recommended a P300,000 bail for the temporary liberty of the suspect.

The third identified only as “Juanito” was arrested on the basis of a warrant for lascivious conduct in relation to the Anti-Child Abuse Law.

Tagged as the 6th most wanted person in the province, “Juanito” was apprehended in Sitio Igpatuyao, Bgy. Poblacion in Sebaste, Antique last Thursday.
