VP Sara records biggest drop in ratings
Compared to other government officials
VICE President Sara Duterte’s trust and approval rating dropped significantly in the latest survey conducted by Pulse Asia and Social Weather Station (SWS) last September.
Although all high officials, including Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Senate Pres. Chiz Escudero and House Speaker Martin Romualdez’s ratings also dropped in September, it is notable that only VP Sara’s rating dropped significantly or recorded the biggest drop.
Based on the Pulse Asia Survey, the vice president’s trust rating dropped 10 points from 71% in June, and is now at 61% only.
VP Sara’s trust rating in SWS also dropped ten points this September, from 65% in July 2024 to only 55%.
VP Duterte’s approval rating in the Pulse Asia Survey also dropped by nine points from 69% in June and is now only 60%.
But in the National Capital Region (NCR), VP Sara’s approval rating dropped 28 points, from 64% in June, now to just 36%.
Some think that the investigation by Congress regarding the intelligence and confidential fund of VP Sara is probably the reason for its rating to slip.
