VoltesVVOLTES V Legacy’ is ending on Friday and Martin del Rosario who plays the main villain, Prince Zardoz, along with the three actors who play important roles, Matt Lozano, Radson Flores and Raphael Landicho, all say that it’s been an unforgettable experience for all of them.

“I am really proud to be part of this show and to play the role of Zardoz,” says Martin. “Nagmarka talaga ito sa tao kasi when they see me in public, Zardoz talaga ang tawag nila sa akin. The whole cast is proud that we’re part of this as GMA really gave it a very big budget with its expensive sets, costumes, special effects. It’s being watched even in other countries kaya na-invite ang Voltes V sa comicon sa U.S.”

His tandem with Liezel Lopez in the show also clicked with the viewers. “Yes, that’s why we are now taping a new show, ‘Asawa ng Asawa Ko’ and it’s nice na magkasama kami uli. I am so happy na tuluy-tuloy lang ang projects ko and I’m also working out now sa gym regularly in preparation for a big project na hindi ko pa puedeng sabihin.”

Matt Lozano says he’ll forever be thankful for “Voltes V Legacy”. “Dahil dito, mas nakilala ako ng tao as Big Bird Armstrong. Hindi ko makakalimutan, minsan, in a gas station, I was with my mama (singer-producer Elaine Carriedo Lozano) and a man with a Voltes V T-shirt approached us and thanked me for giving life to his favorite anime. Niyakap pa niya ako kasi natuwa raw siyang na-meet niya sa Big Bert Armstrong. Dahil doon, I felt that it’s really a privilege to be a part of this big project na malaki talaga ang fan base. I’m also very happy to have worked with the whole Voltes V team na nakasundo ko at lagi kong nakakasama kaya naging sobrang happy ng buhay ko ngayon.”

The Cebuano Radson Flores says his role as Mark Gordon in “Voltes V” is his biggest break after he was discovered in Starstruck 7.

“Sobrang mahiyain ako, but doing this show, I learned so much tungkol sa pakikisama sa ibang tao,” he says. “Nakatulong talaga sa akin lahat ng mga kasama ko, both co-stars and the entire production team, to motivate me para mas maging comfortable ako sa work namin. Noong una, intimidated ako sa veteran actors na nakatrabaho namin, but they’re all very helpful pala, like Sir Albert Martinez who shared his experiences with me. Kaya later, sa ibang shows na naging guests ako, hindi na ako nahihiya or nara-rattle when I work with more experienced actors. They help in challenging me to bring out the best in me.”

As for child actor Raphael Landicho, he really grew up while taping the show. “I was only 7 years old when we started taping it and now, I’m 10 years old na, so lumaki na talaga ako,” he says.

“Hindi ko na makakalimutan all my life na naging part ako ng ganitong kalaking show. And now na natapos na ang taping namin, I’m able to attend again our face to face classes. My classmates are all happy to see me. Pati yung nasa ibang classes, dumaraan sa amin to greet me at kinakawayan ko sila.”

“Voltes V Legacy” is now on its last week so don’t miss the remaining episodes that are full of exciting action scenes and more surprises. This will be replaced by “Maging Sino Ka Man” starring Barbie Forteza and David Licauco.
