Vintage bomb found while digging grave for deceased pet
CABANATUAN CITY – A 30-year-old female vendor on Tuesday was shocked after finding a vintage bomb while digging up a shallow grave for her dead pet dog at their backyard in this city.
Police said they were alerted about the incident by Bgy. Dicarma chairman Benedicto Cabuhat at 12 noon on Tuesday.
According to Cabuhat, Cindy Clemente, a vendor, of Purok Rosal 1, was digging a grave for her dead pet dog when she accidentally found a metal object that turned out to be an “unexploded ordnance.”
Operatives of the Nueva Ecija Provincial Explosives and Ordnance Disposal and Canine Unit immediately responded to the area to secure the recovered vintage bomb.
