THE BBM-Sara UniTeam on Monday afternoon completed another four-province swing to deliver more cash assistance and other relief goods to areas devastated by Typhoon Odette, bringing to P15 million the total financial assistance and to P23.3 million the total cost of relief items delivered to calamity victims within a two-day period.

The UniTeam Humanitarian Mission, which managed to reach eight provinces from December 19 to 20, also delivered P1 million worth of construction materials for the repair of shattered houses and several thousands bags of rice intended for distribution to calamity victims.

For Monday’s mission, former Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos and House Majority Leader and Leyte 1st District Rep. Martin G. Romualdez first flew to and led the delivery of P2 million financial assistance, 2,000 food packs worth P1 million and 3,000 bags of rice (five kilos each) for distribution to Surigao del Norte, Siargao Island and other areas affected by the calamity.

Marcos and Romualdez immediately flew to Capiz where they met Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte and handed over 12 p.m. Monday to Gov. Esteban Evan “Nonoy” Contreras P2 million in financial assistance and 2,000 food packs worth P1.2 million at the provincial capitol for typhoon victims.

Marcos and Romualdez on 2 p.m. Monday turned over P1 million in financial assistance, 2,000 food packs worth P800,000, and 2,400 bags of rice to Balud, Masbate Mayor Ruben Jude “RJ” Lim at the Masbate Airport for the victims of Super Typhoon Odette.

After attending the UniTeam’s Humanitarian mission in Roxas City, Capiz, Duterte joined Marcos and Romualdez at the Bacolod Silay Airport in Negros Occidental, their fourth stop on another four-province swing also in the Visayas and Mindanao, and delivered to Vice Gov. Jeffrey Ferrer P2 million in financial assistance and 3,000 food packs worth P1.8 million to help those who have been affected by Super Tphoon Odette.

On Sunday, Marcos and Romualdez downloaded assistance and aid to local officials of Southern Leyte, Butuan City, Bohol and Cebu.
