Two new hard-to-miss shows
HERE are two more exciting new shows to watch out for on GMA Network in the coming months.
“STOLEN LIFE” – After “First Yaya” and “First Lady”, Gabby Concepcion is back in a drama series in “Stolen Life”. This time he is paired with Carla Abellana who was also his leading lady in “Because of You” in 2015.
Also in the powerhouse cast are Beauty Gonzales, Celia Rodriguez, Bing Loyzaga, Lovely Rivero, William Lorenzo, Divine Aucina and Anjo Damiles.
The story is about a woman whose life is stolen by her cousin who uses astral projection to frame her up for a crime she didn’t commit. Later on, she would return and plan how to regain her life.
This is directed by Jerry Lopez Sineneng.
“LILET MATIAS: Attorney at Law” – This is a new legal drama series starring Jo Berry in her latest solo drama after “Onanay” and “Little Princess”. Directed by Adolfo Alix Jr, Jo is supported by a powerhouse cast led by Martin del Rosario, Edgar Allan Guzman and Jason Abalos.
Also supporting them are Sheryl Cruz, Joyce Ching, Glenda Garcia, Teresa Loyzaga, Joaquin Domagoso, Ariel Villasanta, and Sparkle stars Yvette Sanchez, Zonia Mejia, Hannah Arguelles.
In the story, Jo plays pint-sized but courageous lawyer Lilet Matias who is very dedicated to her profession. She is always ready to defend the oppressed and gets to handle different kinds of cases involving social injustice. But her values are challenged when she handles the case of a rape victim who turns out to be her long lost half sister.
Jo is happy to portray the role of a hotshot lawyer. “Noong araw, dream ko talaga maging abogada, pero hindi nangyari,” she says. “So now, happy ako na naging isa akong lady lawyer dito sa aming bagong series. Talagang pinaghandaan ko ito and I prepared well para maging credible ako sa role ko as a lawyer, lalo na sa court scenes na nakikipagtalo ako sa ibang mga abogado. So abangan nyo po kasi I’m really very proud na nagawa ko ang series na ito.”
