Trucks ban on Padre Burgos Avenue
THE Manila Public Information Office (MPIO) announced that starting today, June 22, all trucks are not allowed to pass through Padre Burgos Avenue in Ermita, Manila.
MPIO head Atty. Princess Abante in her advisory, said the truck ban on Padre Burgos Avenue was due to the safety inspection to be conducted by expert road inspectors.
The Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau (MTPB), headed by its Officer-In-Charge Zenaida Viaje advised all truck drivers to take alternate route as follows:
All trucks coming from Roxas Boulevard to Padre Burgos Ave. going to Quezon Blvd. and Quiapo should turn right to Finance Road, cross over the Ayala Blvd., go straight to Ayala Bridge and turn left to Carlos Palanca to point of destination.
