A MONTH before the election day, frontrunner slates in the vote-rich cities of Caloocan and Manila showed support for Trabaho Partylist’s bid for its first-ever term in the House of Representatives.

In the City of Caloocan, members of Team Aksyon at Malasakit raised the hands of Trabaho first nominee Atty. Johanne Bautista at the Distrito Uno Grand Rally.

A live feed was streamed featuring Trabaho (No. 106 in the ballot) as the only partylist sharing the stage with Congressman Oca Malapitan, Mayor Along Malapitan, Vice Mayor Karina Teh-Limsico, along with their City Councilor candidates Marjorie Barretto, Leah Bacolod, Topet Adalem, Alex Caralde, Vince Hernandez at Enteng Malapitan.

On the same day in Manila, Team Yorme’s Choice motorcade, led by the Isko Moreno and Chi Atienza tandem, featured Trabaho second nominee Ninai Chavez as they campaigned within Tondo, just like in their previous city-wide motorcades.

According to COMELEC, Caloocan and Manila have 765, 249 and 1,142,172 registered voters, respectively, making them critical battlegrounds for national campaigns.

Meanwhile, the group’s third nominee kagawad Nelson de Vega was in Laguna to meet and greet their supporters in the province and to personally thank them for their efforts in disseminating the group’s campaign posters.

PBB host and alumna Melai Cantiveros-Francisco took care of the group’s online campaign through a short funny video, where she portrayed a clairvoyant reading the numbers one, zero and six to an employee distressed with low pay and long hours of work. She said those lucky numbers will give the employee a hopeful future.

Earlier, the pro-labor group reiterated its stance against various labor rights violations by Filipino workers who “suffer in silence”.
