Tolentino graces feast of Our Lady of Candelaria in Silang
SENATOR Francis “Tol” Tolentino on Friday graced the festival of Silang town in Cavite celebrating the feast of the Our Lady of Candelaria.
During his remarks at the Grand Parade of the festival, Tolentino highlighted the unwavering unity of the Silangeños as shown by the presence of the people from all the 64 barangays of the town.
According to Sen. Tol, Silang serves as an inspiration to the entire province of Cavite to remain as one in pursuing progress.
The senator likewise lauded Silang as it celebrated the first year anniversary of its Guinness World Record of longest lines of candles totaling to 621 candles during the 2023 Candelaria fiesta celebration.
“Iyong napanalunan ninyong Guiness Award ay talagang nagpapakita na kapag pinagdikit-dikit ninyo ang kandila, makakarating sa isang mas maliwanag at magandang kinabukasan,” said Tolentino.
A Caviteño himself, Tolentino also reminisced his memories in Silang during his younger years.
