Teenager held for stealing power drink
CABANATUAN CITY – An 18-year-old man on Sunday night was arrested for allegedly stealing two cans of adult nutrition supplement power drink worth P7,289 from a mall in this city.
Provincial police information chief Capt. Franklin D. Sindac said the suspect, a resident of Blk. 199, Lot 12, Bgy. Laylayan, Montalban, Quezon City, was turned over by security personnel of Savemore Market at SM Megacenter to the city police at 7 p.m. on Sunday.
Cecille Reyes, 25, Savemore customer assistant, of Bgy. Mallorca, San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija, representing the complainant Sanford Marketing Corporation, allegedly caught the suspect while about to escape, said Sindac.
Seized from the teenager were two cans of the adult supplement power drink worth P3,644.50 each, which were stolen from the selling rack of the store.
Theft charges are set to be filed against the suspect before the City Prosecutor’s Office.
