Tawi-Tawi One Party adopts Sara as VP bet
THE Tawi-Tawi One Party has adopted Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte as its vice presidential candidate in the May 9, 2022 national elections.
The group, led by Tawi-TAwi Gov. Ysmael “Mang” Sali has passed a resolution declaring and endorsing the candidacy of Mayor Sara.
In a statement, Mayor Sara expressed gratitude to the Tawi-Tawi One Party and vowed to focus on jobs and livelihood programs should she wins the elections.
“Daghang Salamat po sa lahat ng bumubuo ng Tawi-Tawi One Party sa inyong suporta at tiwala. Salamat din sa pagbibigay inspirasyon ninyo sa labang ito,” Mayor Sara said.
In its resolution, the Tawi-Tawi One Party recognized Mayor Sara’s support and concern shown to the people of Tawi-Tawi.
“Mayor Sara has, time and again, shown her love for the Filipino people,” the party said.
“Tawi-Tawi One Party believes that through unity, the Filipino people can rise again and achieve economic progress,” it added.
The political group likewise stressed that Mayor Sara can contribute to the government on how to address the pandemic brought by the COVID-19.
“The global pandemic has affected the lives of each and everyone. The province of Tawi-Tawi was not spared from the effects and devastation brought by the global pandemic,” they said.
Mayor Sara is the candidate of Lakas-CMD and Hugpong ng PAgbabago. She was also adopted by the ruling PDP-Laban and People’s Reform Party.
