Tagaytay, Dasmariñas elected officials take oath

TAGAYTAY CITY, Cavite – The winning local officials of Tagaytay City took their oath of office in conjunction with the celebration of the city’s 84th charter day, June 21, 2022.

Cavite Governor Juanito Victor “Jonvic” Remulla Jr. presided over the swearing-in of Vice Mayor-elect Agnes Tolentino, 8th District Board Member Rainier Ambion, Councilors Micko Tolentino, Joel Tibayan, Yolly Marasigan, Jojit Desingaño, Marcing Austria, Rey Espiritu, Lorna Toledo, Bianca Pello, Henry Vergara, and Annabelle Solis.

The oath-taking ceremony coincided with the 84th anniversary of the establishment of the locality held at the new Bahay Tagaytay Residences Tower I in Bgy. Mendez Crossing East.

The oldest citizen of Tagaytay, mother Nemensia Miranda, from Bgy. Francisco was cited and Batang Tagaytay Athlete Jelly Paragile, from Bgy. Horn East, which brought honor to our country and won a medal at the last 31st SEA (Southeast Asian) Games held in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Mayor-elect Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino, who recently took the oath of office before outgoing President Rodrigo Roa Duterte witnessed the said program.

In Dasmariñas City, local executives here led by Congressman Elpidio “Pidi” Barzaga, Mayor Jenny Barzaga, Vice Mayor Rex Mangubat, Board Members Nickol Austria and Jun Dela Cuesta, Councilors Kiko Barzaga, Rudy Lara, Rey Canaynay, Robin Cantimbuhan, Martin Reyes, Jeg Gonzales, Jorge Magno, Kevin Tapawan, Glen Malihan, Bugoy Noora, Eric Aledia, and Ake Garcia took their oath of office and also administered by Gov. Remulla at the newly opened Dasmariñas Arena in Congressional Road on June 20, 2022.

“Nakikita ko na ang pagkakaisa ng Dasmariñas at ng lalawigan ng Cavite ay tungo sa pag-unlad ng Cavite. Dati ang Cavite and sinusunod ng Dasmariñas, ngayon ang Cavite na ang sumusunod sa Dasmariñas,” Gov. Remulla said in his speech.

According to Remulla, Cavite province is now covered by “Free Wi-Fi” broadband from Longos, Bacoor City to Bgy. Tua, Magallanes, in their respective Barangay Halls, covered courts and public schools that students can use in their studies.
