DEFENDING champion T2000 humbled Batch 2000, 84-66, to complete a six-game sweep in the ERJHS Alumni Sports Club basketball tournament at Barangay N.S. Amoranto covered court in Malaya St., Quezon City.

Four players, led by Mark Louie Caguisa, scored in double figures for T2000, which clinched top seed in this month-long tournament supported by Wangs Balclub and PingPing Lechon.

Caguisa topscored with 25 points for T2000, which face No. 4 seed Team 80s in the crossover semifinals.

Joseph Bognot added 13 points and Jeff Caguisa and Chris Santiago contributed 10 points apiece for T2000 of playing coach Jerome Nell.

Czar Tallorin finished with 14 points for Batch 2000 of team captain Shimoto Garcia and coach Ron Anthony Anasco.

T2000s semifinal opponent is Team 80s, which advanced to the semis following the withdrawal of Batch 2000,.

The other semifinal showdown will pit No. 2 Batch 93, which defeated Team 80s, 72-59, and Batch 89, which clobbered Batch 94, 65-5A

Joseph Magpantay scattered 21 points, Jeri Santos added 14 points and Dong Ramirez contributed 13 points for Batch 93.

Joseph Realista carried the fight for Team 80s with 25 points.

Batch 89 leaned on Jon Cano’s 21 points, Jonathan Puzon’s 13 points and Alvin Tanare’s 11 points to beat Batch 94 and complete the semis cast. AA
