Speaker Romualdez salutes PNP
SPEAKER Martin G. Romualdez on Monday lauded the 226, 000-strong police force for working tirelessly in ensuring the country’s peace and order, especially during times of crises.
“I salute all these modern-day heroes who work day and night to keep our communities safe. May you continue the good job of making Filipino families feel secure in their household. Mabuhay kayo!” Romualdez said after joining President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. during the 121st Police Service Anniversary at Philippine National Police (PNP) Multi-Purpose Center, Camp Crame in Quezon City Monday morning.
Romualdez said he was honored to be part of President Marcos’ team to witness the awarding of outstanding PNP officials in the event.
“A great honor for me to join President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos, Jr. in presentation of awards and citation to outstanding PNP personnel during celebration of the 121st Police Service Anniversary,” Romualdez said.
It was the first official visit to Camp Crame of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for the 121st Police Service Anniversary. During the event, it commemorated the founding of the former Philippine Constabulary, the country’s first insular police force, on Aug. 8, 1901 and carries the theme “Matibay na Ugnayan ng Pulisya at Mamamayan, Tungo sa Pagkakaisa, Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran” (Strong Police-Community Partnership, Toward Unity, Peace and Progress).”
