
Sleeping man, live-in partner shot in Batangas home
A 37-YEAR-OLD man on Friday night was killed while his live-in partner was injured after they were shot while sleeping in their home in Tanauan City, Batangas.
Victim Alex Teoxon, a scrap collector of Bgy. Sambat, Tanauan City, died on the spot from multiple gunshot wounds.
His live-in partner, Josephine dela Cruz Antiporda, 44, was wounded.
Tanauan City Police Station commander Lt. Col Ariel B. Azurin, who received the report, immediately dispatched a team to the area.
In an investigation by crime scene investigators PSSg Tommy Piscoso, Cpl. Jhune Carlo Coballes, and Cpl. Leo Arnie Leycano showed the live-in partners were sleeping at 7:30 p.m. on Friday when attacked by an unidentified assailant who gained entry through the window of the bedroom.
The suspect fired several shots at Teoxon.
Antiporda was hit by a stray bullet.
The gunman fled with a cohort, who served as a lookout, towards the nearby woods.
Recovered at the crime scene were eight fired cartridge casings and two deformed fired bullets for a cal. .45 gun.
An investigation is ongoing.
