THE local government of Silang, led by Mayor Kevin Anarna, Municipal Administrator Nathaniel “Jung” Anarna Jr., Vice Mayor Ted Carranza, and the Municipal Council signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) represented by Nilo Tamoria, regional executive director of DENR-Calabarzon (Cavite/Laguna/Batangas/Rizal/Quezon), which aims to help the local land owners to settle their respective land title in their lands in a simple program held at The Atrium of New Municipal Hall, Bgy. Biga 1, Silang, Cavite on Monday, May 29, 2023.

They were joined by Januel Peras, Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Cavite Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO), Reynaldo Belen, chief of the Technical Services Division, Engr. Olivia Bejo, chief of Land Management Office, DENR.

In the DENR’s initial report, the titled land in the town of Silang is at 30%. By having this program, the target is to increase the percentage of titled lands for “higher” land values and avoid “fixers.”
