SBCA launches Alice Galang Eduardo Scholarship Grant

ST. Bernadette College of Alabang (SBCA), a premier higher educational institution located at the very heart of Alabang, Muntinlupa City through the Office of the Vice President for Public Relations and External Corporate Affairs, VP Ma. Flordeliza R. De Guzman, announces the scheduled competitive scholarship examination of its second scholarship grant, the Alice Galang Eduardo Scholarship Grant (AGES-G).

This second scholarship grant is being offered by SBCA following the successful launch of the Gertrudes Vivo-Carlos Scholarship Grant last year.

The scheduled competitive examination for these two scholarship grants shall be administered by the Scholarship Committee, headed by the College Dean, Danilo H. Cabalu, Ph.D. on Friday, April 25, 2025; 8 a.m. to 12 noon.

The Gertrudes Vivo-Carlos Scholarship Grant (GVC Scholarship Grant), named after the honorary foundress of the institution, will accommodate qualified candidates to study and finish either of the following board programs offered by SBCA — Bachelor in Elementary Education, Bachelor in Secondary Education, and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

AGES-G, fully and personally funded by the CEO of Sta. Elena Construction and Development Corporation Alice Galang Eduardo, intends to aid financially challenged yet outstanding students, who wish to finish any of the following degree programs in the fields of Business and Entrepreneurship namely, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship.

Based on the rules and mechanics formulated by the Committee on Scholarship for this purpose, graduates of Grade 12 from any Public or Private schools, with GWA of 86% and above may take the competitive examination, as scheduled.

AGES-G recipients will have the following benefits: 1. Free tuition fee for eight regular semesters in the amount of P120,000 for four consecutive academic years or P15,000.00 per semester; 2. Priority in the use of references and prescribed books from the SBCA Library; 3. Priority in On-the-Job Training with industry partners of SBCA; 4. Priority in On-the-Job Training at the Sta. Elena Construction and Development Corporation and 5. Priority in possible employment at SBCA and Sta. Elena Construction and Development Corporation.

Recipients of the GVC Scholarship Grant will have the following benefits: 1. Free tuition fee for eight regular semesters in the amount of P120,000.00 for four consecutive academic years or P15,000 per semester; 2. Priority in the use of references and prescribed books from the SBCA Library. 3. Priority in the On-the-Job Training with industry partners of SBCA; and 4. Priority in possible employment at St. Bernadette College of Alabang.

Eduardo received the Gawad Gertrudes Vivo-Carlos award in the field of Humanitarian Work, on the occasion of 41st Foundation Anniversary of SBCA. The award was given during 27th Commencement Exercise of the College Department of SBCA on June 22, 2024, whee she was the Commencement Speaker.

Eduardo is a philanthropist known for her humanitarian work which includes the rehabilitation of the pediatric ward and isolation ward of the Philippine General Hospital.

She showed her unending faith in God through the construction of the Parish of San Agustin in Jaen, Nueva Ecija. Above all, she shows humility in spirit, as the true credo of SBCA.
