Sara files COC for vice president

DAVAO City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio has finally made her decision and this is to run for Vice President in the 2022 national and local elections.

Mayor Sara is running under the Lakas-CMD and substituting candidate Lyle Uy.

At 1:45 p.m. on November 13, Mayor Sara, through her lawyer Atty. Reynold Munsayac filed her certificate of candidacy after Uy withdrew his CoC.

In a separate statement, Mayor Sara’s spokesperson Liloan City Mayor Christina Frasco confirmed the official filing of the CoC.

“This is to confirm that Mayor Inday Sara, through her representative, has filed her CoC for Vice President under Lakas-CMD. Mayor Sara will be releasing an official statement shortly,” Frasco said.

Meanwhile, the Lakas-CMD has not yet confirmed reports that there will be an alliance with former Senator Bongbong Marcos’ Partido Federal ng Pilipinas.

Days before her official entry to the vice presidential race, Mayor Sara backed out from her reelection bid and was replaced by her youngest brother, Vice Mayor Baste Duterte.

The presidential daughter also resigned from Hugpong ng Pagbabago, a regional party which she and other influential politicians from Davao Region has created.

Mayor Sara then took her oath as member of Lakas-CMD.

Adoption

As this develop, the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas has decided to adopt Mayor Sara as its Vice Presidential candidate.

The party likewise endorses Mayor Sara as the running mate of Marcos.

The executive committee approved the resolution immediately after Mayor Sara filed her CoC.

The Partido Federal ng Pilipinas did not issue any CONA and has no official candidate for VP and Senators in the May 2022 national and local elections.
