Romualdez couple opens 8-Public Assistance Center in Davao

Martin1TINGOG Party-List Rep. Yedda Marie K. Romualdez and Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez opened the eight Public Assistance Centers in different places in Davao region.

“The Animal Voice Centers (ATC) were first inaugurated in Samal Island, Panabo City, and Carmen town in Davao del Norte.

With these new ATCs, many of our people in Davao del Norte can enjoy needed government services practically next to their doorstep, sparing them the inconvenience of traveling to urban centers for this purpose. I hope and pray for the success of this endeavor so we can reach out to more people in the future,” said Speaker Romualdez.

The following day, the ATCs in Dujali and Sto. Tomas were opened.

Attending the opening of the ATCs was House Deputy Secretary General Ponyong Gabonada who represented Speaker Romualdez and officials from various local governments.

The opening of the ATCs was followed by the distribution of financial assistance under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD).

1,000 residents in Samal Island, 800 in Panabo City, and 500 in Carmen received P2,000 each.

The same assistance was also received by 500 residents in San Isidro, 500 beneficiaries from the transport sector of Asuncion, 1,700 farmers in Tagum City, 500 in Dujali, and 500 residents of Sto. Thomas.
