Robb declares rules in doing love scenes
ROBB Guinto has played lead roles in films like “Showroom”, ‘Afam” and “X Deal 2”, but she now agrees to support Micaela Raz in the 4-part series “Araro”.
“Okay lang naman po sa akin to play both lead and supporting roles,” she says. “Basta may trabaho, go go go ako as I want to explore playing different kinds of characters. After this, I get to play another lead role again in ‘Sugar Baby’ with Jeffrey Hidalgo as my sugar daddy.”
She has millions of followers as a social media influencer then she joined the Vivamax stable as a sex siren. “I really want to act and I want to earn more for my family as I’m the breadwinner. I have four siblings that I support and send to school. They understand my work at supportive naman sila. They know I’m doing it to be able to help them.”
So what is her role in “Araro”?
“I play the role of Erlinda, the younger sister of Vince Rillon who’s the lead actor. Dahil sa nangyari sa akin, doon iikot ang story. I was raped by Matthew Francisco, the son of a rich land owner, si Don Luis, played by Ronnie Lazaro. Dahil doon, gaganti si Vince sa kapatid ni Matthew na si Micaela Raz at lahat ng babae sa farm nila. Kaya ‘Araro’ ang title ng series, kasi inararo niya lahat ng mga babae roon.”
The series is directed by Topel Lee and it’s her first time to work him. So how is it?
“Kinakabahan ako nung una kasi nga first time ko to be directed by him. But he helped to understand my role well, lalo na doon sa rape scene and sa dramatic scenes.”
And how is Matthew as her rapist? “Pinag-usapan muna namin what we’ll do before the rape scene. Kasi may limitations po ako. Sa kissing scene, no tongue. At bawal to touch my boobs. Also, no frontal for me at naka-plaster ako all throughout. Okay naman siya. He didn’t take advantage.”
But would she be willing to do be more daring and do full frontal scenes in the future?
“Siguro po, given the right project, I might. Kailangan lang na maganda talaga ‘yung story and ‘yung role ko. At sana okay ‘yung director, mapag-uusapan naman po yun. Sa Hollywood and foreign films nga, top actresses do it, pero the project and the role should be really worth it.”
She’s tall and shapely. Has she ever planned to join a beauty pageant? “Sa school po naman, I was 17, I joined yung Miss Fatima and I won. Pero sa ibang pageants, wala po akong confidence sa mga Q&A, e.”
