
Rob group boss, 3 members found dead after kidnap
THE alleged leader of the notorious “Aki-Cuadra Robbery Group” and three of his members were abducted and later found dead in different places in Negros Occidental.
Bacolod City Police Office Director Col. Thomas Joseph Martir identified the four as 30-year-old Arnold “Aki” Cuadra, the alleged leader of the group, and members Jhundelle Rafols, 25; Leonil Rafols Jr., 26; and Rene Boy “Kugan” Dasillo, 30.
Police Station 7 head Capt. Elmer Bonilla said the four victims were reportedly abducted on Friday night by unidentified armed men in two vehicles from Cuadra’s rented house at Villa Homes Subdivision in Bgy. Vista Alegre, Bacolod City.
The official said several gunshots were heard during the incident.
Cuadra managed to run when the abductors stormed their rented house but the suspects caught up with him.
Authorities believed the four men were separated, forced inside two waiting vans then taken out of the subdivision.
Last Saturday, Jhundelle and cousin Leonil were found dead in a sugarcane plantation in Bgy. Blumentritt, Murcia, Negros Occidental. Their bodies bore multiple gunshot wounds.
Responding lawmen found at the area 20 spent bullet shells from a cal. .45 and .9mm pistols.
Dasillo, who sustained gunshot wounds, was found in an irrigation canal in Bgy. Atipuluhan, Bago City around 200 meters from a residential area.
Cuadra was found dead in a river behind Trinity Christian School at Villa Angela Subdivision in Bgy. Villamonte in the city. He also sustained gunshot wounds.
According to the Bacolod City Police Office, Cuadra had four pending warrants of arrest for robbery and illegal drugs charges.
Authorities theorized gang war triggered the killings.
An investigation is ongoing.
