RIT kills Bulacan brgy. chairman
A RIDING-in-tandem (RIT) gunned down a barangay chairman on Saturday in Angat, Bulacan.
In a report to Police Regional Office (PRO)-3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., the Bulacan police identified the victim as Wenceslao Bernardo, chairman of Brgy. Marungko, Angat, Bulacan.
Reports said Bernardo, along with some of his constituents, was taking part in a clean up at Sitio Tugatog when one of the two men aboard a plateless motorcycle alighted and shot the victim twice at the back of his head.
The victim was rushed to the Twin Care Hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival while the suspects fled towards Bustos, Bulacan.
