PAPANAGUTIN sa batas ni Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte ang retiradong pulis na nanutok ng baril sa isang siklista na sa lungsod.

Paliwanag ni Mayor Belmonte, kahit pa hindi na interesado pa ang siklista, maging ang Quezon Cirty Police District na magsampa ng reklamo laban kay Willie Gonzales ay kakasuhan parin siya ng Quezon City government.

“However, I believe this culture of impunity is not acceptable in QC and I have a duty and responsibility to maintain peace and order in our city and send a strong message that acts such as that committed by Willy Gonzalez shall not be tolerated and that he must be held accountable,” pahayag ni Belmonte.

Nais tiyakin ng alkalde sa mga residente na puprotektahan ng lungsod ang kanilang kapakanan.

Also we need to reassure the cycling community and all our citizens for that matter that the city is willing to exhaust all means to demonstrate to them that we will act in their interest and in the pursuit of justice. Sinabi ni Mayor Belmonte na ang posibleng ikaso laban kay Gonzales ay Grave Threat,Slander by Deed,Reckless Imprudence, Physical Injuries, paglabag sa RA 10591 o absence of a License to Own and Possess a Firearm at absence of Permit to Carry at paglabag sa bike lane ordinance

Nanawagan din si Belmonte sa siklista na makipagtulungan para mapanagot sa batas si Gonzales .

“However, I’d like to stress that w/o the cooperation of the complainant there is only so much that can be done. Therefore we are appealing to the complainant to come forward so that Willy Gonzalez, whom i consider a menace to society, is held accountable. He is not only an irresponsible gun owner with anger management issues, but a danger to our people,” pahayag ni Belmonte.

Una rito iniulat ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) na ipatatawag nila si Gonzales upang magpaliwanag kung bakit hindi ito maaaring tangalan ng drivers license.

Pagpapanagutin din ito anya ng LTO sa pagmamaneho ng sasakyan na hindi rehistrado sa ahensiya.
