THE Philippines hopes to attain single-digit poverty rate.
In fact, the government “is on track” to cut poverty.
Even the World Bank (WB) acknowledged that this Southeast Asian nation of 110 million people has made strides in reducing poverty.
Various quarters, including the ordinary citizens called for the modernization of Philippine agriculture to win the battle against poverty.
“It will be below 10 percent and in single digits,” according to the finance department.
“We will keep giving our best to make sure that every Filipino benefits from economic growth until we break the cycle of poverty,” Marcos vowed.
In fact, there should be happy reasons to expect the best in the months and years ahead.
People believe that Marcos has concrete plans of action to address poverty.
Thus, it is only just and proper for the Filipino people, including the poor, to support the Marcos presidency.
