PBBM itinulak modernisasyon ng coconut industry
INATASAN ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) na ipatupad ang development plan para maging moderno ang coconut sector ng bansa.
“So, the PCA must intensify the implementation of the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan to accelerate the modernization of the coconut industry and to improve the lives of our coconut farmers and their families,” ani Pangulong Marcos sa kanyang talumpati sa pagdiriwang ng ika-50 anibersaryo ng PCA.
“As we reflect upon the last half-century, we are reminded of the valued history of the PCA, and the challenges that it has withstood to get to where it is today,” sabi pa ng Pangulo.
Hinamon din ni Pangulong Marcos ang ahensya na patuloy na tulungan ang mga magsasaka ng niyog upang makalaya sa kahirapan ang mga ito.
“So, let us double our efforts to tackle these issues and invest in technologies and initiatives that will not only safeguard but also ensure the resilience of the coconut sector of our agriculture,” sabi ng Pangulo sa PCA.
Bukod sa pagpaparami ng produksyon ng niyog, pinatututukan din ng Pangulo ang paglinang sa mga coconut byproduct upang makahanap ng bagong merkado para rito.
Lumahok din ang Pangulo sa National Coconut Tree-Planting Activity sa Coconut Palace na bahagi ng pagdiriwang ng anibersaryo ng PCA.
