LONG-time People’s Journal Tonight sports editor Ed Andaya was one of 24 sports journalists honored by the Philippine Baskethall Association (PBA) for their contributions to the success of the pro league in its first 50 years.

Andaya, who started covering the games in 1985, and the 23 other journalists were honored during the PBA 50 Greatest: The Anniversary celebration at Solaire North last Friday, Aprl 11.

Also honored were former Journal sportswriters Lito Tacujan, Reggie Amigo, Noel Albano, Raffy Japa and Gerry Ramos.

The selection committee was headed by PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial and Chairman Ricky Vargas.
