‘Pamilya ng Pulis Day’ launched nationwide

THE Philippine National Police on Saturday officially launched its Pamilya ng Pulis Family Day at Camp Crame to provide government services and other support to busy members of the force and their dependents.

PNP chief General Rommel Francisco Marbil earlier emphasized the need to include police dependents as beneficiaries of all police-community related activities nationwide.

The 30th chief of the 232,000-strong national police force said he wants police personnel and their families to get the same assistance long being provided by the organization to the citizenry, specifically medical missions and relief works that busy them each time a calamity or other disasters hit the country.

Gen. Marbil also called on his men to prepare to secure their families first before giving quality public service. “Tag-ulan na kaya let’s all prepare our families for any eventuality. Yung pag pumunta tayo sa field, hindi tayo nag-aalala sa ating pamilya while be give quality public service,” the top cop reminded his men.

The PNP chief explained that the launching of the Pamilya ng Pulis Family Day will further foster camaraderie, bolster support networks and enhance the well-being of PNP personnel and the their families across the country.

Some 2,000 Camp Crame-based police personnel with around 668 family members who pre-registered in their respective offices to avail of the program were the initial beneficiaries of the program where they can immediately get frontline services on a weekend.

The services include the release of the PNP Dependent’s Identification Card, PNP uniforms, Retirements and Benefits, License to Own and Possess Firearms, housing as well as services on wedding, baptism and counseling.

The Family Day for the police force also features games and other exciting activities for children and adults to make the family experience more festive.
