
P145-M drugs seized in NCRPO’s anti-drugs ops since January
NATIONAL Capital Region Police Office director, Major General Anthony A. Aberin on Monday said they have arrested 3,683 illegal drug personalities and confiscated over P145 million worth of shabu and other prohibited substances in Metro Manila from January 1 to April 4 this year.
He said that a relentless, balanced, and procedure-based campaign against illegal drugs in the metropolis under their ‘Able, Active, Allied’ policing framework during the period led to those major anti-drug accomplishments.
The official said that between January 1 and April 4 this year, NCRPO operatives conducted a total of 2,386 anti-drug operations, which led to the seizure of an estimated ₱145,875,862.80 worth of illegal drugs and the apprehension of 3,683 individuals linked to the drug trade.
The recovered pieces of drug evidence include some 21.28 kilograms of shabu valued at P114,658,100; nearly 8 kilograms of dried marijuana leaves worth at least P55.323 million;
17.30 grams of cocaine with an estimated value of P91,690; and 112.50 grams of Kush, a high-grade marijuana derivative with an estimated value of P168,750.
“These figures highlight the NCRPO’s unwavering dedication to dismantling drug networks and protecting communities from the harmful effects of illegal drugs,” Maj. Gen. Aberin said.
The official also emphasized the commitment of the entire NCRPO to maintaining a safe and secure environment for the residents of Metro Manila as he reiterated the force’s resolve to aggressively pursue all forms of criminal activity, with a particular focus on eradicating drug-related offenses.
