P1.3M shabu found in San Mateo rental house

CAMP BGEN Vicente Lim, Canlubang, Laguna — Several plastic bags of suspected shabu estimated to weigh 192 grams worth P1,292,000 were found by the owner of a rented house in Bgy. Ampid 1, San Mateo, Rizal.

In a report to Police Regional Office 4A director Police Brigadier General Eliseo, San Mateo Municipal Police Station investigators said the suspect, who was under police manhunt, was identified as Marvin Nicolas.

Village officials reported to the police the discovery of shabu.

According to the owner of the house, the suspect who was renting from him has not paid for two months, nor was he informed that the suspect would continue the lease.

The owner was forced to open the room and saw the plastic bags on the table. He immediately informed the barangay officials.

Police recovered two plastic bags containing white crystalline substance suspected as shabu, one transparent plastic cellophane containing white powder suspected as shabu, one transparent container filled with white powder suspected as shabu, one digital weighing scale, a white notebook with listing of figures believed to be a drug transaction, one plastic containing several TPS, a disposable lighter, and an improvised wood sealer.
