P.6M shabu seized, 5 nabbed in QC buy-busts
POLICE arrested the District Level No. 5 Drug personality and four others and seized P679,600 worth of shabu in a series of buy-busts Tuesday night in Quezon City.
Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director, Police Brigadier General Antonio C. Yarra said operatives of PS 10 conducted a buy-bust against the District Level No. 5 Drug Personality identified as Jayson Besas, 24, resident of 9 P. Florentino St., Bgy. Sto. Domingo, together with his cohort identified as Maverick Espero, 27, resident of 29 P. Florentino St., Bgy. Sto. Domingo.
The suspects were reportedly arrested at about 6:15 p.m. April 27, 2021, along Sct. Chuatoco St. near corner Sct. Reyes St., Bgy. Roxas District, Quezon City.
Confiscated from them were seven grams of shabu valued at P47,600, the buy-bust money and a cellular phone used in their drug transaction.
Meanwhile, at about 7:15 p.m. of the same day, along G. Araneta Ave. near corner Aurora Blvd., Bgy. Doña Imelda, Quezon City, PS 10 also arrested in a buy-bust Zedrick Kyle Menes alias “Kap”, 19, resident of 439 Cattley St., Old Sta. Mesa Manila and rescued a 17 year-old male.
They were arrested after a police poseur buyer was able to purchase P31, 500 worth of marijuana from them. Aside from the buy-bust money, also seized were more or less three kilos of dried marijuana leaves worth P360.000, a backpack, and two cellphones.
Furthermore, at about 8:40 p.m., April 27, 2021, along an alley of Deuhat St., Bgy. Tatalon, Jhayvin Naquin, 20, a resident of 21 Gumamela St., Bgy. Roxas District was also arrested in a buy-bust conducted by PS 10 that resulted in the confiscation of three sachets of shabu amounting to P272,000 and the buy-bust money.
The suspects will be charged with Violation of R.A. 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”
