Over P600K kush seized from Indian nat’l
City of San Fernando, Pampanga — Some 500 grams of kush or a type of cannabis worth P675,000 were seized from an Indian national during an entrapment operation Monday in Malate, Manila.
Authorities identified the arrested suspect as Yogesh Sahijwani, 40, resident of DB Building, 2532 Lemery St. Unit 3C, Malate.
The operation was conducted by anti-narcotic operatives from the PDEA Bulacan Provincial Office, PDEA Clark AIU, PDEA Manila DO, BOC, Malate Police Station (MPD), and Malate SDEU.
“The kush was were concealed inside a green box from Washington, USA. The box arrived at the Port of Clark last December 3, 2021 and was consigned to Yogesh Sahijwani,” said a PDEA team leader.
The package contained 15 plastic sachets containing 500 grams of kush worth P675,000.
Also seized from the consignee were a company ID; BIR ID; and a cellphone.
A case for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the foreigner.
