Collection agent held up in Batangas
A 21-YEAR-OLD collection agent who was held up by two unidentified men while traveling on a motorcycle along the highway around 9 a.m. Monday in Bgy. Lumaniag, Lian, Batangas.
Lian Municipal Police Station chief Capt. Amiel Bernardo M. Sanhi, Jr. identified the victim as Mark Barcoma, collector/agent of ASA Philippines Foundation, a lending institution, and resident of Bgy. Malaruhatan, Lian.
The victim said he was doing his weekly collection routine when the suspects blocked his way and declared the holdup at gunpoint.
The suspects took the victim’s black bag containing collection money amounting to P 57,175, cellphone worth P7,000, and his wallet containing a driver’s license, Philhealth ID card, vaccination card, and other documents.
The suspects managed to escape after the holdup.
