OrMin folk benefit from cops’ CAROL drive
FIFTY poor families in Roxas, Oriental Mindoro on Sunday benefited from the Christmas Commitment and Remarkable Offer of Love (CAROL) drive by the municipal police.
Members of the Roxas Municipal Police Station, led by Captain Clyde Kalyawen, spearheaded the gift-giving event to help the underprivileged families in the area.
Officers from the Philippine National Police Special Action Force and the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company of the Oriental Mindoro Police Provincial Office assisted the Roxas policemen during the program.
Roxas Municipal Police Station (MPS) deputy chief of police Cpt. Rosalinda Mamburam, the 3rd Platoon of the 2nd PMFC of the Oriental Mindoro PPO headed by Cpt. Mario Jacinto and the SAF’s 10th Special Action Battalion’s 105th Special Action Company under Lieutenant Jann Paul Irang joined forces in distributing essential goods, food packages and gifts to the beneficiaries.
“Nagpapasalamat po kami sa buong kapulisan lalo dito sa Roxas sa pinagkaloob nila sa amin. Sa totoo lang wala po kami pang Noche Buena pero dahil sa pinamigay nilang mga biyaya talagang kumpleto na ang aming ligaya,” said one of the beneficiaries.
