
MMDA opens RSO for easy payment of traffic violations
THE Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) opened its Redemption Satellite Office yesterday at a mall in Ortigas Center, Quezon City, to enhance accessibility and convenience for settling traffic violations.
MMDA Acting Chairman Atty. Don Artes said that the opening of the Satellite Office ws part of the agency’s steadfast commitment to bringing government services closer to the transacting public.
Artes also thanked the Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) management for providing a specific space inside the shopping mall under a rent-free arrangement.
RLC Vice President for Marketing and Operations Joel Lumanlan, thanked the MMDA for choosing the mall as its first-ever satellite office location outside the MMDA Head Office.
Among the services of RSO include the fine settlement for traffic violations issued by the agency, lifting of alarms for drivers who have been placed on the alarm list of the Land Transportation Office, and processing of drivers’ clearances verifying that they have no pending traffic violations. Office hours are from Mondays to Saturdays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Currently, the settlement of MMDA-issued traffic violation tickets can be done through at the MMDA Head Office on Julia Vargas Avenue in Barangay Ugong, Pasig City, or through designated payment centers.
