Mechanic shot dead in Cabanatuan City

CABANATUAN CITY – A 43-year-old mechanic was killed by two unidentified motorcycle-riding suspects on Sunday night.

Police said the victim was identified as Randy Castro, a mechanic at Totoy’s Jack and Shock Absorber repair shop along Maharlika Highway in Purok Sampaguita, Mayapyap Sur this city.

The gun attack transpired when the victim was about to close his shop at 8:25 p.m.

Police said the suspects, who were riding a black motorcycle, stopped, and its back rider suddenly shot the victim several times using a short firearm.

The victim was hit in different parts of the body and was rushed to the Dr. Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center (Dr.PJGMRMC) but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

Police are still investigating the identities of the suspects and the motive behind the killing.
