MC rider dies in Malvar road crash
A CONSTRUCTION worker was killed after accidentally colliding with a truck while driving a motorcycle (MC) on the north side of J.P. Laurel Hi-way, Barangay San Pioquinto, Malvar, Batangas, Monday.
Malvar Municipal Police Station (MPS) Chief P/Maj. Jonathan S. Amutan said the victim was a resident of Bgy. San Pedro 1, Malvar.
Initial investigations revealed that the blue Yamaha Aerox motorcycle driven by the victim was seen traversing along the J.P. Laurel highway when it accidentally collided with a Daewoo truck.
At approximately 10:30 p.m., Malvar MPS received a telephone call from a concerned citizen and informed the incident.
Personnel of said station immediately proceeded to verify the report’s veracity.
The victim was rushed to Laurel District Hospital in Tanauan City for medical treatment but was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician.
