Marcial, Martin at PSA
WHAT’s in store for both the coming PBA 48th season and a rising Filipino boxer are going to be tackled in the Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum on Tuesday (August 8) at the conference hall of the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.
Commissioner Willie Marcial will be on hand to answer questions about the league’s 2023-24 season set to start on Oct. 15, as well as other activities leading to the season start including the rookie draft, pre-season fun run and Media day, Gilas’ participation to the FIBA World Cup and Asian Games, among others.
Boxing legend and promoter Gerry Penalosa on the other hand, graces the weekly session together with undefeated bantamweight contender Carl Jammes Martin and father/trainer Abel Martin to talk about the next step in the career of the 24-year-old fighter from Lagawe, Ifugao.
The session starts at 10 a.m. with San Miguel Corporation, Philippine Sports Commission, MILO, Philippine Olympic Committee, and the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) as major backers.
