Man who raped teenage stepdaughter arrested
A 49-YEAR-old man wanted for repeatedly raping his 15-year-old stepdaughter in their house in Isabela province is now in jail after being tracked down in his hiding place in Makati City, Police Regional Office (PRO) 2 director, Brigadier General Steve B. Ludan said Friday.
Florante Ilarde, a resident of Bgy. Doña Concha in Roxas, Isabela, was caught in Guadelupe Nuevo, Kalayaan Avenue in Makati City by members of the PRO2 Regional Special Operations Group and the Roxas Municipal Police Station, said the official in a report to Philippine National Police chief, General Dionardo B. Carlos.
He said the suspect who has been tagged as the 2nd most wanted person in Cagayan Valley is the subject of a warrant of arrest for nine counts of rape issued by a local court.
Records showed that the suspect fled Isabela and hid in different parts of Metro Manila in 2015 shortly after he was accused of raping his then 15-year-old stepdaughter.
Ludan said the suspect was arrested following information provided by some of his relatives to the local police regarding his whereabouts.
