THE Tangere survey, conducted from June 11 to 15, has unveiled a list of 12 potential candidates who could shape the future of the Philippine Senate if a new set of senators were elected during that period.

ACT-CIS Party-list Representative Erwin T. Tulfo, a frontrunner in the survey with a score of 57 percent, led the pack of potential candidates picked by respondents to occupy the 12 senatorial seats vacant in 2025.

Former senator Tito Sotto was the fourth most favored potential senatorial candidate, with 43.75 percent, and incumbent Senator Pia Cayetano was in fifth place, scoring 41.25 percent.

TV and radio personality Ben Tulfo, brother of the leading potential senatorial candidate, occupied sixth place with 40.83 percent, Senator Lito Lapid was in seventh place with 40.08 percent, and presidential sister Senator Imee Marcos in eighth place.

Boxing champ and former senator Manny Pacquiao, with 37.50 percent, came in ninth place, followed by the failed presidential aspirant and now TV personality Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, with 35.42 percent, in tenth place.

Former senator Ping Lacson, 35 percent, finished eleventh, and Senator Francis “Tol” Tolentino, 34.17 percent, completed the top 12 most favored potential candidates for the 2025 senatorial race.
