THE Land Transportation Office (LTO) will investigate the drivers and vehicle owners involved in the viral video of their “road rage” along Felix Avenue in Cainta, Rizal.

In the subpoena issued by the LTO’s Intelligence and Investigation Division (IID), the drivers and vehicle owners of the motorcycle and L-300 van were ordered to appear at the IID office at the LTO Central Office, East Avenue, Quezon City, on February 22, 2023, at 2:00 p.m.

LTO-IID Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Renan Melitante said they will investigate the cause of the altercation and if traffic violations were committed, including possible penalties.

Melitante added that should the parties “fail to appear” in the investigation, they are already waiving their rights to be heard, and the LTO will decide on the case based on the available evidence.

For his part, LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Jose Arturo “Jay Art” Tugade again stressed the value of discipline while driving, that motorists should strictly observe “at all times” to prevent road rage.
