Love scam evidence turned over to Regional Anti-Cyber crime unit
IMUS CITY, Cavite – The Cavite PNP led by Police Colonel Christopher Olazo, Provincial Police Director, together with Silang, Cavite Mayor Kevin Anarna, presented the evidences confiscated from the love scam incident Wednesday, July 26, 2023.
Police Lt. Col. Romulo Dela Rea, local police chief of Silang, turned over the confiscated evidence of the Love Scam Incident to the Regional Anti-Cyber Crime Unit-4A
Part of the confiscated evidences are desktop computers and mobile fones used to victimized individuals.
Dela Rea together and his team was the lead unit in the rescue operation during the Love Scam incident that led to the arrest of Kenchy Laoag Suico and nine others on July 22, 2023
The victim narrated that she sought the assistance of the Silang Municipal Police Station via a hotline number after being unlawfully detained and threatened by the suspects operating the Love Scam.
The Silang MPS immediately conducted a rescue operation together with the barangay officials.
Mayor Anarna lauded the Cavite PNP for the remarkable operation of the said incident.
