LGU brings digital literacy training to Imus City Jail Female Dormitory
IMUS CITY, Cavite – The local government unit and the City of Imus Public Library (CIPL) recently brought the Digital Literacy Training program to the Imus City Jail Female Dormitory.
In collaboration with Diwani Durano of the Provincial Information and Communications Technology Office and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Imus, 20 female persons deprived of liberty (PDL) learned how to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint even while inside the jail.
The Digital Literacy Training is one of the CIPL programs that aims to promote sufficient knowledge of modern technology so that Imuseños can keep up with the times.
The leadership of Mayor Alex Advincula has expressed full support to the program that provides knowledge to his fellow Imuseños even inside prison.
