COME June 2024 ay magda-dalawang taon na ang tinaguriang `Queen of All Media’ na si Kris Aquino sa kanyang pagpapagamot sa Amerika na may kinalaman sa kanyang various autoimmune diseases. Hanggang ngayon ay patuloy pa rin siya sa pakikipaglaban sa kanyang sakit for the sake of her two sons na sina Joshua (28) at Bimby (16) while she’s carrying a long distance love affair with Batangas vice-governor Mark Leviste who spent the Christmas holidays with her and her sons and even extended his stay even after New Year dahil hinintay pa nito ang resulta ng blood test results ng kasintahan.

Sa recent post ni Kris since November last year, inamin nito na hindi umano nag-improve ang kanyang health since she posted last November.

“It’s been awhile…sorry for not greeting all of you Merry Christmas & Happy New Year. Since thanksgiving I’ve felt very weak, I lost may appetite (considering I was existing mostly on milk), my headaches were on a daily basis, the cold weather didn’t bother me at all, in fact waist down my skin would feel warm to the touch, sometimes to the point that my jammies would be soaked in sweat…I was having dizzy spells, and my BP had a very weird fluctuations,” pagbabahagi niya sa kanyang IG account.

“Twice I had my blood drawn – and the last was for a thorough autoimmune blood panel. It took almost 2 weeks to get my results,” patuloy niya.

“I was reluctant to post my pics because I lost weight again. I went down to 92 lbs, my hemoglobin also went down to as low as 8.7 and because my doctor told me unless I put serious effort into eating real food with high iron content (examples are beef, spinach, egg, chicken liver) I was endangering my heart’s health. I knew I had to help myself, nobody else could eat for me, and slowly I started eating food again. But it’s an uphill climb, since the new year I’ve only managed to gain 3 lbs.

“I cried nonstop when I got my blood panel results. My Churg Strauss/EGPA is still being treated, but to add to it my CREST SYNDROME is now in full ACTIVE mode. And I’m already exhibiting may symptoms for another autoimmune connective tissue disease- it’s highly likely based on my ANA count, my high inflammatory numbers, my anemia, my now constant elevated blood pressure at night, and the consistent appearance of the “butterfly rash” on my face that I’m in the initial stage of SLE or what’s commonly known as lupus.

“My methotrexate dosage has been increased, I’m continuing with Dupixent, and I need to gain at least 8 pounds then Dr. Delperio and Dr. Malika Gupta will give me a trial baby dose of Rituxan (RITUXIMAB). It’s a risk because it’s normally given with steroids which my body reacts adversely to. But my faith is still strong.

“We have a merciful and loving God who hears our prayers. My battle has become more complex BUT I promised by sons & my sisters – I won’t be a wimp. And I’m promising all my friends plus all who continue to pray for me: bawal sumuko, tuloy pa rin ang laban,” deklara ni Kris in her long post.

Habang patuloy si Kris sa pakikipaglaban sa kanyang sakit ay walang patid pa rin ang pagdarasal for her ng kanyang mga kapatid, kaibigan, fans and supporters sa tuluyan niyang paggaling.

Wala pa ring kasiguraduhan kung kailan ito makakauwi ng Pilipinas.

Kris and sons Joshua and Bimby together with her staff ay kasalukuyang naninirahan in a rented house in Orange County in California, USA. Among her celebrity friends na dumalaw na sa kanya include `King of Talk’ Boy Abunda, Kim Chiu (twice), Bela Padilla at Angeline Quinto with fiancé Nonrev Daquina kasama ang kanilang anak na si Sylvio.

Toni patuloy ang success sa kabila ng challenges

SA kabila ng mga kinaharap na challenges ng singer, actress, TV host, film producer, entrepreneur at vlogger na si Toni Gonzaga nung 2022 at 2023 na positibo niyang hinarap lahat, she is thankful dahil sa patuloy na blessings na dumarating sa kanya at sa kanyang pamilya. She and her husband Direk Paul Soriano was blessed with another beautiful baby na si Pauline Celestine na isinilang nung August 11, 2023. Ang kanilang panganay na si Seve (Severiano Elliott) now 7 years old ay isinilang nung September 30, 2016.

She’s thankful that she has her husband, Paul by her side who always lift her up when she feels down and reminds her of the many blessings from God pouring in.

Toni was only four years old ay mahilig na siyang kumanta and growing up, she would join various singing competitions.

All she wanted before ay maging isang mang-aawit na suportado naman ng kanyang parents na sina Carlito `Bonoy’ Gonzaga at Crisanta `Pinty’ Cruz-Gonzaga.

“I never knew na mapupunta rin ako ng showbiz although pangarap ko na rin noong mag-artista when I was young,” pag-amin niya nang ito’y aming makapanayam sa aming online show on YouTube, ang “TicTALK with Aster Amoyo”.

Maituturing na breakthrough ng career ni Toni nang gawin niya ang TV commercial ng isang kilalang softdrink brand in 2001 kung saan niya nakasama ang matinee idol na si Piolo Pascual at tumatak ang kanyang linyang “I love you, Piolo” sa publiko.

“Kahit saan ako mapunta noon, `I love you Piolo’ ang tawag sa akin ng mga tao,” natatawa niyang pagbabalik-tanaw.

Thirteen years later in 2014 ay nakatambal ni Toni si Piolo sa hit movie na “Starting Over Again” under Star Cinema na pinamahalaan ni Olivia Lasaman at kumita sa takilya ng halos P411M.

Muling nagtambal ang dalawa sa phychological romance drama movie na “Last Night” (also under Star Cinema) na dinirek naman ni Joyce Bernal.

Maraming popular leading men ang na-link noon kay Toni including Piolo. Nariyan din sina Vhong Navarro, Luis Manzano at Sam Milby, among others, pero sa US born and raised na si Paul Soriano siya nagpakasal. The couple who got married nung January 12, 2015 are now blessed with two beautiful children na sina Seve at Polly.

Toni’s husband, Paul who is a TV commercial, film director and producer Paul was the one who encouraged her na iput-up ang sarili nitong film company, ang TinCan Film Production kahit meron nang sarili nang film production ang kanyang mister, ang Ten17P.

“Siya ang mentor ko sa pagpu-produce,” ani Toni referring to her husband Direk Paul.

It was in 2018 nang simulan ni Toni ang pagpu-produce ng pelikula under her own film outfit, ang TinCan Fim Production sa pamamagitan ng hit MMFF movie na “Mary, Marry Me” kung saan niya kasama ang nakababata niyang kapatid na si Alex Gonzaga at Sam Milby na pinamahalaan ni RC de los Reyes. Since then ay nakakalimang pelikula na siya produced under her own company na ang pinakabago ay ang Philippine adaptation ng hit Korean movie na “My Sassy Girl” kung saan niya kapareha ang mahusay na singer at actor-comedian na si Pepe Herrera at pinamahalaan ng ex-PBB housemate-turned actor-director na si Fifth Solomon and released through Viva Films. The movie is going to be released this January 31st and her first film for 2024.

Bukod sa singing, acting, hosting and film producing, Toni is also a successful vlogger with almost 7-M subscribers.

It was Toni who broke the news to us na muling nagka-miscarriage ang kanyang sister na si Alex sa husband nitong si Mikee Morado.

“Gustung-gusto na talaga nilang magka-baby,” pahayag ni Toni.

Toni is praying na magka-baby na rin ang mag-asawang Alex at Mikee.

Since wala pang anak si Alex, sobrang spoiled sa kanya ang dalawa niyang pamangkin na sina Seve at Polly who is only 6 months old.
