Joseph reveals future plans
JOSEPH Marco is delighted to be paired with Ryza Cenon and Nathalie Hart in Viva Films’ sexy love triangle romance, “Kunwari… Mahal Kita”, directed by Roderick Lindayag.
“It’s a breeze working with all of them kasi lahat sila, nakatrabaho ko na before,” says Joseph. “I did an episode of ‘Maalaala Mo Kaya’ with Ryza while I did the movie ‘The Rebound Girl’ with Nathalie. Pareho silang very professional at masarap katrabaho. Si Direk Dick naman, nakatrabaho ko in two soaps, ‘Wildflower’ and ‘Los Bastardos’. So wala na kaming ilangan or adjustment sa isa’t isa while we’re shooting ‘Kunwari… Mahal Kita’ on location sa beaches of Bataan and Pangasinan.”
In the movie, Joseph plays Greg and he is married to Nathalie as Cindy. Nathalie is a goal-oriented career woman who gets everything she wants. She’s disappointed with Joseph who is a struggling artist and she doesn’t appreciate his work, so she tells him she wants their marriage to be annulled.
“I tried hard to save our marriage but things seem hopeless, I decided to go away for a break at para makapag-isip-isip ako,” says Joseph. “My character is damaged and very vulnerable. I drive to a beach resort and I wasn’t aware that on the way there, nalubak ‘yung car ko at nasabuyan ng putik si Ryza as Heidi.”
Thus, their relationship started on the wrong foot. “Ryza is so mad and slapped me, but she regretted it when she found out good friend pala ako ng boss niya sa resort. To make amends, sinamahan niya akong mag-sight seeing sa province nila and nagkalapit ang mga damdamin namin. But then, Nathalie suddenly arrives and things became very complicated for all of us.”
Joseph just had a very revealing pictorial for an underwear brand that was really talked about.
“I had to consult my parents about it and it’s good they allowed me to do that pictorial,” he says. “First time ko ginawa ‘yun and first time ko rin to do a love scene here in ‘Kunwari… Mahal Kita’, so abangan nyo.”
With that sexy pictorial, is he now ready to do more daring movies in the future?
“Okay lang naman, but it will really depend on how good the story, how challenging my character is and kung magaling talaga ang director. Eventually, I myself want to go into directing. I’m studying filmmaking and I want to learn more about production work and stuff done behind the camera. Hindi mo ito puedeng madaliin at kailangang paghandaan mo talaga, but that’s the direction where I want to go.”
