FORMER child actor Jairus Aquino has signed a management contract with Viva’s talent management arm — Viva Artists Agency.

Jairus won our hearts at such a young age as “Parang Jomar,” the little side kick of Budong in the hit TV series, Super Inggo.

But before he became a child star, he started out in TV commercials and appeared in several shows.

After doing Super Inggo, he then starred in various TV series in ABS-CBN such as Kung Fu Kids, Kokey @ Me, Mutya, May Bukas Pa, Luv U Season 2, Nathaniel and Pamilya Ko.

He is part of the Philippine adaptation of the Korean series, Encounter as Justin (Diego Loyzaga’s younger brother). It airs every Saturday at 8 p.m. on TV5.

The 22-year-old actor shared that he is all grown up and wants to move a little to his teeny bopper side; thus, eventually have a deep dive into more serious acting.

Asked about what projects he really looks forward doing now that he’s with Viva, he answered, “And making movies why not? Kasi parang for the last 15 years in showbiz, I really never had that much movies talaga. I mean marami (akong nagawa) pero ’yung malaki talaga ’yung participation ko sa isang movie hindi ganu’n karami. By really signing talaga sa Viva I’m really looking forward on making movies with them. You know it’s a really different feeling doing movies kesa sa serye and TV shows.”

About the genre he wants, Jairus added, “I wanna do something like John Wick, Denzel Washington movies, mga ganoong klaseng action film. Simple lang ’yung hindi masyadong ma-action pero simple lang ’yung dating ng action hindi ’yung malakihan.”

Aside from acting, Jairus is also very active online.

Just last year, he started game streaming on his Facebook page.

This is his newfound hobby during the time of pandemic. He also looks forward to finishing his studies when the global health crisis is over.
